I love supporting my Haitian restaurants and businesses, but we need to do better with the services. Customers should not have to wait for someone to greet them at the door or look for someone, just a suggestion. I appreciate the "made to order" method but when someone orders over the phone or online they should not have to wait an additional 20 to 30 minutes for the foodmake it less time, just another suggestion. Now, this place has been open for awhile and got great reviews, so after long over due of wanting to try it, I finally did. The owner was very friendly and has a northern style about him (NJ). Let's talk about the food, I usually order my favorite (legume). Now, being a Haitian child and always having Haitian food cooked in the house, but once grown and moved away from the parent home, I find myself looking for my native food. This place hit that spot of home cooked food. I wasn't too kin with the paté (chicken), to describe it in a simple way, it's like a Haitian eggroll flavor & taste. The Akra was really good as while as the Griot w/Diri Djon Djon, next time I will go with the Bannan (green) not the sweet one. I will go back and try the Macaroni, legume and maybe oxtail. Thank you Silany for the good food, see you soon.
